Beauty in the day: Erin called me via FaceTime so I could visit with the kiddles. They didn’t know she was going to do this, and Jaffrey’s elation at this MADE. MY. DAY. She kept gasping, and putting her hands on her cheeks – she was so amazed and excited to talk to CoCo. “I LOVE you, CoCo!!” she exclaimed over and over. Everett played the adorable shy boy, and covered his eyes to peek out. It was a perfect present for me. ❤
Beauty in the day: sometimes people do good things for people that you love. For me, when that happens, it feels like they are doing something for my family. This means my fam is getting the love right now. Thanks, people who do good things for the people that I love. ❤️
Beauty in the day: a hard and painful Beauty. Three-year-old Princess Magnolia has relocated. Her kingdom is not on this earth, but she spent some final days here being held and cuddled by the people she loved the best – her family.
Beauty in the day: still in our Jammie’s at 9:30 in the morning, I left 2 1/2-year-old Jaffrey to color her pictures, while I went into the bedroom to change into clothes. My hair still semi-mussed-up, and no make-up on, I went back into the living room. Jaffrey stopped everything when she saw me: “Oh Coco,” (she calls me Coco), you are so beautiful!” She said, almost worshipfully. I’m not kidding – she is such a pro.
Beauty in the day: got out all my skills today. I thought I was using them at elementary school – how about Irish twins, almost 2 and almost 3? How about it’s dinner time, and I’ve taken the drink away so that EATING will occur? You might have witnessed a Grandma dipping chicken nuggets into ketchup, and “oohing and ahhing” over the exciting prospect of eating such delectable fare ( he went for it, by the way). Well, I can tell you that Jaffrey learned Princess etiquette for all things, from requesting her crown to be returned from an inquisitive uncle, to eating ALL of her pterodactyl chicken nugget (because that’s what a real princess does), to waiting in a regal manner for her turn on the “Planes” riding toy that her brother was on. Bring on Prince Harry – she is Regal and Ready.
Beauty in the day:
So this is my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, Jaffrey. She has gone to a special Easter Celebration at her church, her very first egg hunt. She came across this sculpture of Jesus stumbling under the weight of the cross, and murmured, “Oh, Jesus!” and her next reactions are priceless. First, she looks at Him with concern and tenderness, taking His face in her hands……then she kisses Him.
My heart is full of this. ❤️
